Javonte Raines continues his charge on the record books. At Oakland University’s Elaine Leigh Elite High School Distance Race Invitational, he set the Athletic.net 400m record for Melvindale (our online record book of the information era). Passing 2012 graduate Kennedy Fells, he now sits second all-time behind record holder Tom LaForest, who set the record in 1982, with a time of 50.1 seconds.
